Mike Ladd has always loved war toys. So powerful is this love that he once forced Big Dada’s label manager onto his pushbike, and desperately cycled the two of them halfway across rush-hour Manhattan to buy a plastic tank. Neatly combining this passion with the final narrative of The Infesticons saga, this is perhaps the cover that Mike was always destined to make. The Infesticons marching band, having re-emerged from the bunker in which they’d hidden out during the war, have discovered that the conflict is long over, and no one remembers what it was all about anyway.
With design from Oscar and Ewan (Roots Manuva, Wiley,) it’s a cover that says much about Mike and a whole lot more, and is another iconic sleeve for Big Dada. This video above shows how much fun Mike had setting up the shot.
